It's quite amazing when you get that living testimony. Some years back I knew an Irish American fellow whose wife was from the Old Country and when she was a child, she and her entire family heard a banshee. Though in her sixties, she was clearly still quite frightened by the experience. I don't think she would have said anything, but her husband outed her. He found it all quite amusing, but she most certainly did not. I bet if you got a couple of pints of Guinness in him, he might be one of those late night confessionals Eddie talks about, but sober he was definitely a mocker.
